Day 1: ARRIVAL TO POLAND
Travel from the airport in Kraków-Balice to a hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: WIELICZKA - KRAKOW
After breakfast we travel to the Salt Mine in Wieliczka where, while with a local guide, we will celebrate Holy Mass in one of its underground chapels. After lunch we travel to Kraków, where we meet with a local guide and do a walking tour through Kraków’s Old Town. We will begin by visiting the Royal Cathedral on Wawel Hill. Afterwards, we will see Market Square, the Cloth Hall, and visit St. Mary’s Basilica. For dinner and an overnight stay we return to the hotel.
Day 3: LAGIEWNIKI
After breakfast we will celebrate Holy Mass in the Divine Mercy Sanctuary and meet with one of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, who will tell us more about this unusual place and its message to the world . For dinner and an overnight stay we return to the hotel.
Day 4: CZESTOCHOWA - AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU
After breakfast we travel to Częstochowa, where we will meet with a local guide, visit the famous Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa, and celebrate Holy Mass. Next we will travel to the town of Auschwitz, where we will see the concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. We return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: KALWARIA ZEBRZYDOWSKA - WADOWICE
After breakfast and celebrating Holy Mass we will travel to Bernardines’ Monastery in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska to visit the Sanctuary of the Passion and of the Madonna – a place of pilgrimages for St. John Paul II since he had been a child. In the afternoon we will travel to Wadowice, where St. John Paul II was born. We will see the Papal Museum (the family home of St. John Paul II) and visit the Virgin Mary’s Offertory Minor Basilica, where he was baptized. We will return to Kraków for dinner in a local restaurant and an overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 6: DEPARTURE FROM POLAND
In the morning we will celebrate Holy Mass. After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and travel to the airport.
